Selecting Material

The first step is identifying the material that you want to forge. The choice of the material is mostly determined by the product you want to package. With billet in molten form and preformed, it is time to hot forge. The forging process is pretty simple. You just need to place the hot material in the press chamber but on top of the die. Then press the material using the punch, which could also be carrying the other die. The biller should take shape and size of the dies.

 Heat Treatment

Now you have the hot forged products; the next thing is treating them with heat to ensure that fine grains are developed. You can heat the parts or cool them depending on the metal and the desired properties.
